Hi all, I have just joined so this is my first post in the forum. I'd be interested in your opinions on this - I have been working in google adwords ppc marketing for the past year. I feel that I've mastered all the basics. I'm very comfortable in setting up campaigns, adgroups, writing adcopy, choosing keywords etc to industry best practice. I'm also confident in my management skills after set up. However over the next while I really want to take my skills to the next level. I want to become a really really good ppc marketer. I want to set myself some objectives and goals to achieve. I think to just set them for the next 6 months is achievable, then to reassess at this point. Has anyone any ideas on what objectives I should set for myself - something that will start enable me to move from intermediate to a higher level! It would be great to hear the opinions of the many experienced ppc marketers that are on this forum - how did you get to where you are? Many thanks! Emma
Like these? 1. create campaigns that outperform competion 2. decrease spendings with keeping number of clicks the same
And that in a nutshell is PPC. It's all about improving your ads to get higher click rates. That leads to higher quality scores which leads to lower costs. This assumes your keywords are focused to the product/service you sell. You can't be generic such as using "battery" or even "computer battery" as keywords when what you sell is a Dell Inspiron ModelX battery.
You sometimes have to think about how well the traffic will convert rather than the pure number of impressions you will get. If you get 100 impressions that are not well targeted and use generic keywords, it probably won't convert as well compared to when using very specific keywords.
Very good quote here. Ive ust started an adwords campaign. Ive got about 100 products on my website. How would be the best way to get this campaign a high turnover rate?
