Looks like the normal stuff to me. I rank high for many of the same searches as on Google, for example. I notice that it does seem to favor the main domain than subpages and that it uses the title more than Google, I think. Of course, it is not nearly as updated as Google too.

No idea, but i have some great rankings...cool...Probally just concern yourself with google and become will follow.

To be honest, some of the results did not seem worthy of their ranking

Why would you want to optimize for a new search engine, that counts for less than 1% of the search industry ?

I totally agree... it is almost a waste of time optimizing for MSN, now you want to optimize for become.com??

I've been getting an unusually large amount of hits from become, so I was asking how you would recommend optimizing for it. However, ive decided to just continue doing what im doing for now.

    thanks all!

This is the first time I've heard of them. Usually most just go for Google and MSN as the top priority.

I totally agree with Roar. Same with Altavista, askjeeve and other AOL, they will follow.

We get several visitors from Become almost every day. I try to focus on Google and MSN.
Focusing only on Google may be not enough as if they change their algo you may loose a big chuck of visitors.

Sorry for asking, but how much is "a large amount"? I'm very interested, since I think become returns some strange results... Not the same as google or yahoo, at all. At least what I've been looking at :)

Well i've been getting hits from them on one site and they so far over about 3 days have done close to 200,000hits and 3gb of data transfer, which is a little excessive if you ask me

I modified my robots file to restrict become.com crawling to just once every 30 seconds or so. It was the only bot that ever brought down my server from so much crawling.
