I prefer to rely on people who knew the game inside out ;)
Before the result was announced Best had been speaking in similar vein. He said: "He (Beckham) cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right."

People care more now than ever, its the first time the US has been interested in the soccer. He is doing more for the sport than most people realize.

They were expecting him to bring a new awareness to soccer, but I don't think he did... I've got a friend that's a die-hard soccer (futeball? Man-U?) fan, but didn't even mention the goal...

Anyways, good job with the goal... He needs some more to earn the millions :)

I am a lifelong Man Utd fan and I can honestly say, I wish he was still playing for us. He has a natural ability that I have not seen anywhere else. I will never forget his goal scored from within the opposition half.

As for his skanky skeletor wife, she can F Off!

It was an ok goal, but ohnest nothing new.
In my opinion he's over "worshipped" He's past his prime, he is far from as good as he once was.
But i guess football in the us is in need of a boost am i am sure with him being there, it will happen.

Which was not much anyway and I am a lifetime MU supporter the plain simple facts are that self promotion and bullshit always comes first for these folks thats why Ferguson showed him the door at Old Trafford and that was the right thing to do ................ok he got a lot of caps for England but that in itself does not say much because England are certainly not world class, and have the failed world cups to prove it
