Everybody have their own opinion, may be amazon not good for you but it best for other people including me... so, just try to find your best program that suits to you..
So can I just clarify that. It means that if a reader goes from my link to the Amazon site and doesn't buy straightaway, if he returns at any time in the next 24 hours and orders something, I will get a commission on that order?
Yes that is true. However, if a customer creates a shopping cart on your website it and then goes to Amazon without purchasing the product stays in their cart for 90 days and you can still get the commission on it if they do eventually buy.
But I love Amazon because I can buy anything even I don't know them. Example I promote food but I can sold watch. Because Amazon have Cookie for us.
No commissions on the Kindle books either..... Sold a ton of them as a side effect of another link, and got nothing. Checked the terms, and yep - you get no commission on Kindle books (but you do on the Kindle itself)
Amazon's commissions aren't that low. A lot of people complain about the 4% limit on electronics, but that's actually higher than many other retailers like Best Buy and Apple offer. PLUS Amazon has a trusted brand name that people are comfortable ordering from and an enormous selection of products. That means a higher likelihood that people will actually buy when they click through. I also have a lot of trust in Amazon simply because I get random commissions from items I'm not even mentioning on my sites. If Amazon actually was corrupt, I doubt that would happen. I won't mention any names here, but I've sent literally hundreds of clicks to other retailers and not gotten a single dime from them.
Ive never had issues with amazon, infact I love it! $7 for posting a link to a buddy for a remote? I think it's worth it. Just sell a lot of their stuff and it adds up quickly.
Yeah, sometimes I frown when I see a commission of a few dollars if someone buys a $300 item. But I guess because of the popularity, Amazon converts better than other affiliate programs. Not to mention how many items people are buying that aren't mentioned on my posts
It is a bit of a pain that on UK sales, there is an upper commission amount of £7. Essentially that means you get the same commission for a £120 hoover and a £2000 LCD television. One good thing is that your commissions increase the more products you sell.
I didn't know that the uk version had that limit on commission. I shall certainly bear that in mind for the future.
Ya I have heard that they remove commission on high value products... so be careful with these types of any affiliate marketing sites,... I been fool. so hope you will be not...
Personally I think Amazon is one of the worst companies to work with as an Aff, low commissions and only a 24h cookie ;-( , I'd partner with someone else . .
You can trust Amazon. They won't take your commission off large value products and they won't have any tracking problems. The levels are actually in line with other affiliates, but the 24 hour cookie is a bit of a pain. I understand why however - because customers use Amazon so much it is unlikely that they have "discovered" it through your site. Giving more than 24 hours on the cookie would be generous.
yes there is. happens to me most of the time in electronic products and kitchen ware. i belief some products faulty or does not meet what expected as it claims, customer will return item. hack, it is customer's right! but if you provide good quality content or reviews, this will likely happen. as you are not spamming affiliate links thru out the internet. many failed due to this reasons. most people mentioned 'BUY NOW' thru their link in a way or the other. this should be your last objectives. your main objectives is to provide good quality content / reviews / reason for people to order thru your links. this is my opinion, correct me if im wrong
