every one knows women are buyers on web . 80% of shopping is done by women on internet . so if you added women's pics women will not look at your site or will simply overlook . how does the idea sound adding male celebrity pictures and ask women to contest on it . also i hate male visitors on my websites
Humm... Both of the above points are confusing me. I strongly belived that women pics will increase the traffic. But topaffilaiteprogram also has a point. If most of the shopping is done by women. Then ... I think I liked the women pics myself and just make a template which I liked very much but forgot that women might not like it.
It depends what your market is, it's not going to work for a womens clothes site, but for a site about cars then why not?
real problem is if you create such sites it comes in domain of adult men . children/women cant see it . Also i have posted such thread few years ago and i felt lot of opposition from women ... i am sure this posts is gonna offend women .
OK, maybe you all get the wrong impression on my experiment. Actually it's not about beautiful woman. The point is to use pictures (with descriptive alt text and filename) from celebrities which are searched a lot in search engines. I used Britney Spears because she was the no.1 search term in google for 2004. Do I have to mention why did I use Angelina Jolie alongside?

68% of statistics are completely made up. I deal with gardening products (who tend to be women) and even there, I'm split about 60/40. for my other site (more general products); the split is about 50/50. I haven't seen a reputable site report an 80% figure, ever, I don't think.
That depends on the picture. If it's a tasteful (ie fully dressed) picture of an attractive woman, most women will not be put off. Especially on health, beauty and fashion sites, or gossip, it's expected. It's a case of men wanting to look at them, and women wanting to be them. So a lot of women will look at pictures of other women in order to figure out how they achieve their looks, what make-up techniques they are using, what works and what doesn't. If you look at women's magazines, you will find that they are full of pictures of women, and there are relatively few male models in them. Notice how these women are dressed: not frumpily, but not letting it all hang out either. It's only when you start putting up pictures of women in too few clothes that you will start to put off your female visitors.
how do you know ? are you a woman lol ... simply i donot look men's pic at all cause i am man ..... expect same from women .
Girls give you boom in traffic but its always temporary until unless you provide solid resaon to keep your boom intact.
Check out the real world -- men's magazines contain lots of pictures of women. Women's magazines contain lots of pictures of women too!
