You'll never be able to beat google. it is A shame that people here think that they could game google. Do you know what you are up against? This is a matter of intelligence. Google hires the best and brightest ever. Most of the engineers that work at google are graduates of MIT and stanford. The average IQ in the database department is around 169. Most of these people eat and breathe artificial intelligence and database design. Compare this to the slacker webmaster common of DP. Most SEO experts do not realize that engineers are anticapitalistic. they only care about showing the most relevent site first.
You are right you cant beat Google. Although I dont think anyone is trying to beat Google just manipulate the results. I do however disagree with you about engineers being anticapitalistic. The reason they want the most relevant results first is to have the best and most popular search engine. They do this so they can sell more ads, and make more money

Actually, high IQ doesn't mean much when it comes to originality and new ideas. Some of the coolest ideas in marketing came from fairly average IQ people. Million dollar homepage anyone?
I know people that never even went to high school and are now today millionaires.. Trying to optomize your website isnt trying to beat google. Its just trying to stay in the results and ahead of the competition, If your in the race car bussiness arent you going to do all you can to make your car go fast.. Doesnt mean your trying to beat nascar corp. Same with webmasters nobodys trying to beat google we try to beat the competition
