    This is blog of my friend at wordpress.. http://aviatorgaurav.wordpress.com/ which is really not active ... only back links to this blog are from my PR 0 blog .. and this blog has whooping PR 4 ..

    Can anyone explain?

    Its a mistake :p or a drop domain thats had redirected links...

    nopes its a wordpress subdomain .. it just cant have redirected links..
    its definitely a blunder

    The pr carries over from the main wordpress site, so you only need pr0 links to gain decent pr, if you had one pr6 backlink you would become pr6.

    Possible that the PR was came from the wordpress itself. A high PR site can give you also a good PR if you can have a backlink on it.

    And if it has PR4 who cares it can have pr8 that's count's for me as a 0

    What traffic does it has ? what rankings ? Does it rank dor a competitive keyphrase ? i gues no => crap

    I would agree .. great to have the PR but the revenue stream is better. I have sites that do not have a PR at all and make a nice bit of revenue because the users like it vs Google only.

    I agree but the WHOLE point is there is no back link to it from wordpress main page or their Tag page because all posts are made in category uncategorized plus it has back links from only and only one website which itself is on PR 0.. SO >> THIS CRAP MAKES NO SENSE ..

    Whats all with SEO and back link building when any site will get PR 4 without any promotion or back link or even without an update ..
