    Hi,

What is the best submission re article submission? I see some people offering submission to 100s of sites. Would it be best to just submit to say 10 high quality sites? If so which sites would people recommened? Any other tips for article submission for SEO purposes?

Submitting to 400+ directories cannot by it's nature achieve a good result when most of those are thrown out, or put in the supplemental index. Check this post out.

I completely rip apart a similar situation and prove that it does very little good to submit to anymore than 1 article directory.

You can submit to as many as you like but gradually. With regards to seo, you would have to write the article as if you are writing for a web page because if the article is indexed, G will let it appear in its SERPs based on the criteria it uses for traditional pages.

So everyone here feels its only worth submitting to 1 article site? Make a few variations to upload to other sites?

the more you submit the better it gets! you get the valuable backlink and the article site get's some duplicate contents! not good for the article directories but too good for you!:)

Submitting same article to 100s of directories is the same as submitting to a top 10. This is because , google will mark others as duplicate content & wont consider those backlinks . I have posted a list of 314 directories here
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=338432

You should submit different articles to each directory or atleast rewrite each article so that google thinks it is different.

Yes I doubt google will value a backlink from something it considers a "dupe". Infact I'm pretty sure it will ignore it...

No you don't. It gets thrown out for duplicate content, and you have no backlink.

So the bottom line is upload ONE exact article to ONE site ONLY? Make variations and upload elsewhere, but no point in uploading the same article to many sites as they will be ignored?

Unfortunately that is the truth. And it's only really become evident in the past month or two. You'll hear lots of people telling you otherwise. But, when you do the research you'll see the truth of it. Have them PROVE to you that what they say is the truth. The problem is that it USED to work just a few months ago, and most people like to keep repeating the same thing without really doing the research to verify whether it works. It will probably be a year or two before people "get it".

Why though? I type fast, I can write 4-6 articles an hour. To submit to 400 directories even with an semi-automated tool would take me 2-3 hours. Instead, I could write an additional 15-20 articles and submit all of them to Ezinearticles. That is a better use of time. I could also in that 2-3 hours email 50-100 relevant sites to propose a link exchange. If you know it's going to be thrown out then why bother?

I also agree with MarcRoman about it taking a couple of years for others to "Get it"

should be uniques and having proper keyword density in this with effective title and then you can submit it but you should submit this manually if you are using some software then it can be harmfull to you but if you do it manuaay then you can get good links as well as traffic from the websites...........

I agree with MarcRoman as well.

I have wrote an article with a varation. So I'm going to upload to 2 article directories. Which two places would you say are the best to submit too?

    Thanks

Trust me, I wish I wasn't right. I just had 4 clients drop like a rock in the SERP's over the past month, and now I'm scrambling to catch up. It's much harder to climb in the rankings without buying links these days.
