    I am confused, the auction says: Aug 23, 2012 as the registration date for this domain?

    I assume you mean it was dropped and some point and then re-registered less than 1 year ago, not that the domain is 14 years old because that appears to be false.

    Yeah, it was created 14 years ago, and dropped in the past year and re-registered.
