    For Sale:
    www.beanoforums.com

    Assume 0 revenue, 0 visitors - I havn't marketed it/no ads

Selling because I don't really like The Beano. At all.

In case you don't know The Beano is:
From wikipedia (where there is a lot of info about The Beano - also a large beano community maybe?)

I have installed a MyBB forum on it, put on a new skin, changed it a little.

I have SEO'd the entire site. I got a list of characters/strips from Wikipedia, got all the names from it and put it into a database. Then it lists them:
    http://www.beanoforums.com/characters.php

The ones at the top have bios for them.

But because I don't have the time to write bios for every character, i've custom coded my own thing where users can update the profile. See http://www.beanoforums.com/characters/40/The-Germs-with-Ill-Will.html. You as the admin then login and select if you either:
Approve it, let others still edit it
Approve it, don't let others edit it (then it goes red, and is "good quality")
    Delete the edit.

None of their edits show up until an admin approves it. It is very easy to use. All web based. This is all custom coded (php/mysql).

On the right column it lists 20 random characters, and Dennis the Menace at the top. I believe that this site could get a lot of hits for searches about Dennis the menace and other Beano characters. That is why I spent a lot of time getting that all custom coded. All the characters biographies are search engine friendly. Example: http://www.beanoforums.com/characters/125/Dennis-The-Menace.html

New characters can easily be added, however this would involve loading up PHPmyadmin, and inserting a new row.

I believe this has a lot of potential. On a google search for The Beano, the first two results are about Beano Gas (wtf?), then next three are official The Beano sites, then a random cycling site, then two Beano fansites, then wikipedia, then a sports page. So there isn't much competition for The Beano on google really. It is still sold in UK and it is popular with kids. There is even a spin off animated series, Dennis And Gnasher, which is based in Beanotown. It is on BBC1/2/CBBC channel's if i recall correctly.

    Starting price: $12.50, no reserve.

    BIN: $100

Bidding ends 48 hours after last bid.

Questions? Ask them in here or pm me.

The bio's and stuff is all custom written by me.

PS: The Page Is Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict :). Layout based on one from OSWD, but you can't really tell that much that it is, anymore.

It is from Wikipedia (the images). So I assume so. Wikipedia only use public domain stuff AFAIK.

    Also bid of $12.50 elsewhere.

    Had a bid of $13.50

Also you can all try out the user addition parts of the site (just go to a non red profile and click update) if you want. Here is a screenshot of the admin side of things (you havge to log in first), with one example user inputted biography showing up:
