I just got mail from my f**king affiliate manager, who said to me that my account has been flagged, WTF?? After three months, he said my account has been flagged, and I just lost $400, just let you to know quys, don't trust any non-professional affiliate programs... most of them are really scammers, this is second time happened to me but not same program. Stay away of them. P.S. Dont ask me about the program, I don't want to remember this guy again...
You’re lucky you only lost $400. I’ve been through a lot I’ve lost several thousands dealing with non- professional ones. The main thing is they don’t provide with a solid reason as to why you were flagged they just block your account & ignore your e-mails or messages.
Well, acutally they ain't blocked my account, they freezed it... they said smth about thier agreement which is not clear at all, but what can I do, for rude ppl?? nothing
Hmmm...who is them? Wonder what rule they said you broke? Finding a good affiliate place is hard to do. There are some reputable places out there though.
Please Ottodo you should help us by mentioning these guys so that we all can stay away from them. Let’s hear from you again…
I would like to know what non-professional affiliate programs are. And are they programs, offers, networks?
I don't know about you, but I meant my question rhetorically. Not that I've been lucky with finding affiliate-programs (I use one), but it's pretty clear this thread was started by someone who doesn't know either. There are a few ways to find quality affiliate programs: - start with a very popular site: unlikely to be both popular and a scam (Amazon fits this one) - they do give good information up front. - they give good statistics - they treat you right from the get go New businesses will have to work harder to get trust. Older businesses are more likely to be legit. Asking around on forums like this: what are reliable affiliate programs in niche ... should work. Unfortunately, sometimes there just aren't any that are going to work... If you find one that fits your niche, ask even more specifically: anyone had experience with affiliate program A? I do also check stumbleupon for references.
This works: Read the reviews on these forums and let others know when you have problems with one network
Mybe we should try to make a list of not trused affiliates programs, everyone getscamed form on, should say which one is it, so no one will fall for it again.
My suggestions on determining if a network is trustworthy are: 1) search all the major forums such as DP 2) Find networks that are active on forums, especially those networks that the Founders/President is active on the board as well, 3) Look for companies who have been around for some time. New comers to the internet marketing space have a difficult time surviving. Some networks night be new but are part of a company that has been around for a long time. Do your research And most important of all is to share your experiences both good and bad on forums such as this.
OMG!..$400 is alot to me. I lost almost $200 on some of the affiliate program after few months. And i even received email mentioned after a long diagnose of your application, we appologised that your region are supported or implemented. ??? After few months(6 actually), i wonder how they approve in the first place, with the information already mentioned my region....
There are alot of scams on the web and when someone gets scammed all they do is send a few emails and then that is it. This is the main reason why there are so many scams on the Web, not many people seem to take enough action against the scammers and they then get away with it. I have been involved in good and scammy programs. I find the more experience you have online and with affiliate marketing then the less chance of you getting involved into the scams. I use to be scammed about 30% of the time and now it is just around about 2% or less, which is much better as it is hard enough making money as it is than getting scammed also.
Interesting thread. My advice- don't trust any affiliate network. I just found out that one of the affiliate networks that is mentioned semi-regularly on DP actually fishes it's clients accounts looking for money-making methods that they then use to make money for themselves. I won't name names. Just be wary, always ask for your aff manager to sign an nda before divulging information. With that said, I will vouch for great experiences with Azoogle. Top notch people there.
If it was a CPA affiliate network you were on about then yes, it is best not to trust some of them as they are becoming more easily to set up these days and making many more come online. With A PPS affiliate network like ShareASale, LinkShare, CJ, etc. It is better to have trust in them than what it is in alot of sites that use their own affiliate program script or one of the shelve that is not network related where all payments are consolidated into one. I am an affiliate of quite a few programs and find that the affiliate networks are some of the best and easier ways to earn money online.
Wow bradical, sounds like you had one bad experience!! But you really cannot say every affiliate network - except Azoogle - is evil and can't be trusted. That really doesn't fly. There really are a lot of great networks out there and if you just stick with only one you may not reach your full potential as an affiliate. Some companies do better with some campaigns, some have campaigns that are only offered by a certain company. If you don't try what's out there you'll never know what works for you or if something else is doing better currently than what you're running with.
