Yes, persistence is very important. I've been doing this for close to six years, and it's only the recent year that I've actually been successful. But once you understand what it's all about, it's an awesome feeling... but it can take time, a lot of time
As we all know, it is 100% possible to become successful online. And you don't have to be Einstein to do it, haha. Hence, I agree with you guys... I've been studying and trying different things for the past 5 years or so. Have yet to make it big. But I have learned a whole lot, and I'm starting to make money. PS. Don't lose to much money along the way. That's never fun.
You also need to stay focused on the action you are taking-too many people get "shiny object syndrome". If something doesn't work, they move on to the next shiny object. It is next to impossible to see success if you are jumping from one method to the next.
I suffer horribly from shiny object syndrome....the key is to lock onto your current project and give it all you got for a few weeks. Be unique + do your seo + reward your visitors if you want the ad income to flow.
Inspiration post is greatly appreciated, it's the little things that encourage me to keep building links and not giving up, sometimes it feels like I'm just dumping my time into a pit of scams and ill-fated dreams. Thanks for the encouragement!
I couldn't agree with the OP any more; the absolutely most important thing is to remain positive about all you endeavors in IM, and to a greater point, life in general. Internet Marketing is a beast that requires a lot of patience to tame. But when you do.. That pony makes you happy!
Yeah being positive and taking up a firm attitude from beginning is all what it takes to be successful!
Guys... try having a site where you actually sell ad space to customers... Geez, it eats you alive, trust me. Especially if you see your competitors lying to ad agencies about their traffic that they boost just before campaigns start. (sorry, touchy matter for me LOL) All in all: POSITIVE is the word. If you believe in what you are doing, it will work eventually!
I almost gave up on article marketing a few weeks ago but I didn't. I kept churning out articles. I've earned $250 this week. I've been doing this for only a month.
At one point in time you should give up if it doesn't work for you, maybe its just not for you and thats ok too. Not everything are for everyone..
It is encouaring . I also feels at time am i wasting time ? But as a alternative i think it is a good way to waste time also instead of indulging in other bad habits.
