I was recently caught off guard when someone purchased a website of mine then used a credit card chargeback to regain the purchase price. Unfortunately I will probably never see either again. What does this have to do with Legal Issues = Don't EVER forget what your selling/buying is a nontangible good and nothing can make up for what contracts can do. Be carfull and think before you act... I certaintly learned my lesson.
Always be careful! Internet is dangerous just like the real world! You must always do a google research like "his name + scam" . I hope you don't get ripped of like that in the future.
Hi, I have a suggestion Use a Fax Machine! Type up a written contract and have both parties sign it. In the contract read the following statement, "I_______________(name of person) agrees that I have bought the domain__________ and agree it has been bought as is......this means no refund or chargeback maybe filed now or in the future. " In fact, maybe have the current hosting company sign the contract as a witness. This is also a very good idea to sell or buy on places such as eBay- where contracts are in place.
