Is paypal safe for sellers? I heard buyers can opt to file a dispute. I suggest wire or money transfer like western union

Great information for me. Recently, I also receive an email about buying my domain, but he ask me to go for domain appraisal service first before buying my domain.

After reading this forum, I think I need to reconsider.

Any time I get an offer via email for one of my domains, I always check out the person sending it, or the text of the offer email itself, to see if it's a known scam. Most of these offer emails are scams, and you'll find plenty of info on them online if you look around. It's especially important to check on the offer you're getting if you aren't actively selling the domain. Even if I DO have the domain up for sale, though, I still do my homework before accepting an offer. So far, so good. I've found many scams this way, and have also been able to sell good domain names to honest buyers this way.

Makes me wonder... maybe I should think about selling my domains later. :( Anyway, I have contacted PayPal on this, and will see what they have to say :)

Thanks for the advice. This problem is not uncommon. You should not rely on PayPal, because they will reverse charges. And since they consider a domain name a digital/intangible product you will have no recourse.
Better to accept non-reverible payments (PayPal Mass Payment, Liberty, etc... or go through an Escrow service).
