I guess you also need to be careful when pretending to be someone else on the internet also, especially as this is classed as identity theft

5 years seems a little extreme though, although not having seen the photos its hard to comment

A student over here in Wisconsin just got caught cloaking himself as a girl on facebook and getting kids from his school to send in pictures of their dicks in return for pictures of his "fake" boobs. The kid would then blackmail the students in his school. He just got caught.. big fine!

5 years for identity theft is not even close to being harsh enough.

doing something like this means that he must have bad feeling about her still...maybe he wanted revenge, who knows...
he deserves being punished for his "fun" .

 

You go to jail for anything in America. Ok, he deserved it but 5 years seems a bit too much.

 

I agree, because at the end of the day it is expensive to send someone to jail especially for that length of time, a fine or something would have probably been more appropriate in this case as it is a clear case of revenge and is more of a domestic dispute.

Of course there is probably more to it.

just love your EX. you don't know you might be able to have intimacy again even though you already have a wife.

 

I think that this sets an example and that no one has the right to do something like this and can't get away with doing it either.
