Congrats for Spain, they played excellent today. Great defence and many 3points from Navaro and Harbahosa (i think i just made a grammatical mistake )
I haven't watched or followed any of this but aren't most of the USA players "the guy" on their respective teams? or close to it. 1) they aren't used to sharing the ball 2) they are playing against actual "TEAMS", what's the longest the USA squad been practicing together 2 months? so in my mind it's not surprising at all thy thy got tossed once again...that ain't Magic, Larry, and Michael out there after all. compare and contrast
Yes, but it is not only the USA players in 1992 were great compared to current ones. The truth is that european (and worldwide basketball) is becoming closer to the quality of NBA so there are a few very strong teams, such as Argentina, Turkey, Greece and Spain, the last world champion (ole ole ole again). The key has been the deffense, all the teams playing against Spain have scored too few points. Also today the greeks were a little bit nervous or something, but how come they scored 101 against USA and ridiculous 47 against Spain? DEFENSE! Oh, and they dont have Ginobili, the player from Argentina, the second best team in my opinion.
So, let me get this right. Greece made 101 baskets to USA's 95 baskets. That's a lot of basket making!
The game changed..NBA has their own rules,,,which make the game easier(and more entertaining) but it aren't basketball no more.... 101 point != 101 basket
