Basic Training for Amazon Associates Newbees

Does anyone know where I can get a good training video or manual for setting up Amazon Associate links on diffrent websites?

I find it very confusing and could use aa really good "step by step blueprint."

Could be a good product idea for an Amazon Expert maybe, if it isnt already available

I checked the guide it is helpful . I am looking more for how to navigate all the diffrent programs from Amazon and how to set them up and how to use them effectively. I need some tighter instruction than what Amazon gives. I guess I need a guideline that will lead me by the hand and head. :0 . I am such a newbie. I have looked for videos in youtube, but cant find something really simple.

 

To be honest, there's no video that will show you have to navigate the site. Most people use the site differently, so there's no one size fits all, if you know what I mean. The best way to learn is to play around with it and if you later have a specific question, then post here. Learning by doing is my motto.

thank you . Thats what I was afraid of, I keep trying to figure it out. I just have set things up how I think they should be and because I get no sales am not sure I have done it right . Is there a way I can check that to see if it is setup right? I will keep looking for more information and try to pick it up bit by bit I guess.

I think you should go with Niche Profit Course. It is a video series containing ten videos + two bonus videos on setting up your site for amazon associates and a companion guide(pdf format) is also included in the training. The author of this series, Chris Guthrie, teaches you from the keyword research process to setting of sites and start making money using Amazon Affiliate.In the training series, he shares his experience on how he makes the niche sites targeting specific product and derive the money from Amazon Associates Program. The training series also include a custom theme for WordPress, Azon, on which Chris Guthrie spent $2000 for making it.

 

I hope this doesn't sound too crazy but why not have a friend go to Amazon and make a small purchase and follow thru and see what happens. That's what I did.

 

Making your friend purchase the thing may work for one or two times but for a real internet marketer that is not the way to make sales.

Login to your associates account, then go to the product you want to link for. At the top of the page there is a bar with LINK TO THIS PAGE on it. Click on it and select text only or image only. and you will see your link in HTML format there.
