noob thrown to the wolves here, so bare with me. i am new to networks, and have used apache as a web server but no more. now ive got a peer to peer mixed network (imac ipad xp 7) and need to set it up so that users need to log in and have various permissions in nas and shared files. if i undersdand, i need to set up a local domain, and employ a domain controller. first question, is this right? if so can i use apache on xp to do this? what do i need to learn to do this? any advice/links/help wold be appreciated. thanks in advance.
