    Hi there.

For you first question you can try a site seach in google.

    Like site:digitalpoint.com .

I guess that should show your site if it is indexed by google.

For your second question, maybe you could try to give several keywords and use AND between them. Other than that, I don't know :)

There's a sweet tool here at digitalpoint for tracking keywords: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/

Only submit once. In fact, you don't even have to submit. Google will find you if you have links pointing to your site. Need a link? Put one in your forum sig. :D

If yout don't have any links into your site, then there's little point the search engines knowing about it. The site would rank so low no one would ever find it.
Marketting your site is all about getting more people to know about it. You do that by getting links from other sites, the links pass traffic to your site and have teh side benefit of increasing your position within the Search Engine results.
Concentrate on getting links into the site, the search engines will take care of finding and indexing the site themselves - I think the last time I submitted a site to a search engine was well over 5 years ago.

I have built a site with no links into it from the beginning. This site have around 9-10 000 pages with unique content. I submitted the site once to Google and now MSN, Yahoo and Google have indexed all of the pages and mostly of them is top 10 results.

Now i have built a Sitemap and that pretty much improved most of the results.
