basic paypal button 12% charge add at checkout

    Hi all ,


    Just a quick question I am trying to integrate a basic paypal button with 5 or more products and then add a 12% charge at the final checkout

    what would be the best option of approach to this ? in php

    You need to implement a shopping cart feature and user will click on the paypal button only at the final checkout, where you'll be able to calculate the final total (including the 12% extra) and pass the value to Paypal.

    Are you using paypal template cart?? you can set a tax in your personal accnt in paypal.
    either way, phper's post will be great too..

    When you say tax, where would i would i find that template

    as I wanted to add the 12% administration fee and place it confirmation order when the person checks out

    Bartoly is right.
    you want to 12% extra if user selected 5 or more items. That case you create id & count how many items selected by user.
    if 5 or more then 5 then u just multiple 1.12 of total prices.

    can you point me in the correct direction for this "tax in your personal accnt in paypal." setting.
    if i did this it would read tax on the invoice ? which would be in correct

    Depending on the laws where you are, it may be illegal to collect "tax" when in fact it is not a tax.

    Your best bet would be to calculate your totals add the 12% and pass the total value to PayPal.
