Hey all. I've pretty much just joined and have had a hard look around the marketplacey on the forums. I know other people have asked similar questions and that but it's about getting variety and inconsistency in answers. Lots of people seem to be making money off of the internet. I want to be one of these people. No, I'm not one of those people who thinks there is some methods which will get them thousands in a matter of weeks, I just want to get a wee bit of money really. $20 a week would be great. What can I do to earn this kind of money? I have my own site and forums if that can help in an answer. What kind of things can I provide with no cost to me which people can pay for? etc etc. I really appreciate any reply at all! Many thanks indeed! Regards, Lex
How about you selling some ads space inside your forum. You can always do that using the third party program such as adbrite, adsense, aductions
Add advertising to your site/forum. If it receives good traffic you should make a couple of dollars a day from that. Offer a service. Look in the Buy and Sell section and look at which services people need to be performed and do that for a certain amount. Once you've built a reputation as a good worker you'll definitely be able to get a minimum of $20 a week.
IF you have a forum site, I would suggest Kentora or any other Intext ads. They dont pay much but I find that it works better for forum sites than say adsense IMO.
You have many options. If you have sites, you can put some ads on them and get money when people click on them. You can promote some affiliate products and get paid when somebody makes a purchase through your promotion. You can do a lot of things even without having any site at all. For example, you can perform some kind of service and get easily these $20 a week if you provide a quality service - you can submit other people's sites in directories or you can write some articles for money if you have some writing skills and educate yourself about basics of SEO. You have lots of other options too. In order to make $20 a week you don't have to be some internet wizard. Just take a look around and you'll find your way.
Create a forum atmosphere that fosters intelligent frequent posting. This will drive your userbase up. Then implement an ad system, such as Google Adsense. With 5000 unique visitors a day it would be easy to get $300 - $600 a month in adsense.
Hi Lex, I think you can make 20 bucks enough easy. For example, I make 25-30 bucks a week. PM me if you interested. I think you may make more than 20 bucks a week with your site.
Well thank you all! Thats some in depth info there, some of it obvious (but good to hear that it works) and some of it not. Very much appreciated! DP has to be one of the friendliest forums I've been a part of to date, and I've only been a member for all of one day.
1) Work on driving more traffic to your website and forum (learn A LOT about Search Engine Optimization and improving your rankings). 2) Promote your website in other ways (maybe create a contest for your forum members to help promote the site?) 3) Ads in your forum, depending on the software you use, there are plugins that make it very easy to implement AdSense, etc into your forum...I specifically like the ads that will post as a reply to every new thread that's made. It makes it appear as a real post to the unsuspecting eye = more clicks. 4) Crazy amount of new and unique content to your website daily or several times per week will drive traffic. Don't forget to place ads on your site too! You can either use AdSense or go the affiliate route and join networks like Azoogle Ads/Copeac and find campaigns that are on topic with your website.
