If half a girll chicken cost 3.50, and a side order of rice & bean cost 1.50. How much should i pay for a grill chicken w/ rice & bean?

and the answer is not 5.00...it is 7.00....

I was ordering lunch and the owner charge me 7.00 for something that worth 5.00. I asked him if i order half a chicken and the rice and bean separately, how much would that be. He answers 5.00, so i ask him why he charge me 7.00, and he just freeze up...finally i refuse to pay and step out...

what kind of logic is that:mad:

I would say a 15% for tip but.. 15% of $5 is $0.75 only and don't forget the tax ;)

Next time you should complain! But if he said 5 initially and demands 7 at the end, that's not right at all

Lol, I though you were gonna really ask a math question and was all fired up to answer it :p

Btw, restaurant owners in your place seem to be pretty dumb, but you should atleast have paid the poor guy his $5 :p

This happens at almost every restaurant. When I worked at a fast-food place, you could get things cheaper by ordering a tortilla, then add the stuff you want to make the burrito. They charge extra for the "concoctions" that taste the best. ;)

I like the old 3 for the price of 2 argument. I know people who have argued over paying 5 cents extra because of this deal.....LOL :D

yeah he probably gets away with it a lot, a lot of people dont bother counting up how much each product is, or counting their change when they get it back, so he probably does that often!

On the contrary, I think it's good that you made the store owner aware of this inconsistency so that he can change his product pricing.

Well here's what I would recommend. Order the Grilled Chicken for $3.50. Once you've paid for it, turn like you are going to leave, but then turn back suddenly and say, "Oh by the way, can I get an order of beans and rice?"

I was thinking the same way.

anyway maybe that owner might count the one who sit on the same table with you and he might thought you gonna pay for that person too.
