Basic Link Building

There are really some great link building ideas out there but the truth is there is no magic bullet to link building. It takes hard work and time. With that said these are the staple link building methods any SEO will use:

1. Directory submission (it's not dead...just on life support)
2. Article submission
3. Social bookmarking
4. Blog comments
5. Forum posts

Those are the 5 that you can do with no trouble.

6. Email link requests (you better have a good angle here)
7. Link bait (offer something that people want to link to)

So you now know 5 you can do with no trouble and 2 that may take a risk but could be worth it.

 

Amongth the five choices, i most like only socialbookmarking, blog comments, forum post as i always use these method to gain backlink and increase Serp rank. For other is beyond of my capacity

 

You can add RSS Submission in there also....Easy to do!

 

you can just add yahoo answers to it. it is becoming a good source of having traffic on your website.and it is very innovative kind of seo technique.

 

These all basic link building techniques need efforts and time. the more you do efforts then in future we will have good results.

RSS feeds try igoogle which is often forgotten

 

Mostly important for seo link building is, Forum posting, Blog commenting, Social bookmarking are used to get quality back link. And to increase the visitors.

 

Does forum posts really help towards link building? Thought the value of them had gone through the floor?

 

I have noticed two things...

1. The words "no value" or "low value" are thrown around way too much.
2. People want to get something for nothing.

On the first one I want to say it is still important to get links from places that are considered by many as "low or no value". Just because it has a low vote power with Google doesn't mean you should ignore it. So yes forums, blogs, and even directories are still important. Also they are easiest to get links from.

On the second note...you can not expect to get great ranks without putting work and time into it.

 

link building takes time and effort. if there was a quick way everyone would do it.

good list. Ive always seen places that charge for certain amount of backlinks but I always think they are scams. Anyone find a good one?

You always can use some automatic methods, but in many cases this is just spam.And will not work for you in long term.
Also google is always renovating its engine to prevent spam. Just heard about such an update.

I also think that Link bait is the future, because that means you have something actually valuable, that people want to link to, and they do the work, not you.
