I have a website which is well indexed in SEs, it got indexed within a week or so from the time it became active online. Recently I opened a subdomain that contains my keywords for SEO, it's online for 8 days now and my little question is; how come that msn listed my subdomain in a day and yahoo & google still didn't? It's listed in half of the international googles, but not in google.com, do they work entirely seperately? And one last thing is that google.com cached my subdomain 2 days after I opened it, so isn't it supposed to be indexed by now? Do subdomains take longer by some SEs to be indexed? And ultimately, do I have to start worrying that something is wrong and my subdomain might be banned, or do I just have to sit quietly and wait? Thank you. P.S. I do have around 40 backlinks to my subdomain by now, some with 3-4 PR...
When you are checking if it's indexed are you using the site: command or entering the url into the google search box? It's probably in the index but just not shown as indexed on all the datacenters yet and will probably propagate to them soon. I'm not sure why msn indexed first; could be a number of factors. I don't think it would be cached if it were banned so just wait a few days and it will probably show up in the index.
I used both site: command and entering the url in the search, neither one found my subdomain. Yeah I guess I have to wait and see then... Thanks.
