I've been using Netfirms Advantage hosting for a few years now, and I've been mostly satisfied, but I don't find myself meeting the allocated resources (space, features etc.) and thus I want to downgrade to a cheaper hosting plan with fewer features. I require the following: Email with POP3 Support Multiple Sites/Domains I really need to be able to have email since my personal email is currently hosted with netfirms as such: myname@myname.com and thus I won't be able to easily change this and thus would like to transfer it over. I also need to be able to have multiple sites on the same hosting account so that I can have FAKEDOMAIN.com and COOLDOMAIN.com be different sites (they link to different subcategories of my hosting directory) I'm not sure if I'm forgetting anything, but thanks! Free domain transfers are expected since I'll be transferring over a few domains. Ideal price range is ~$50/yr. Thanks!
Domain transfer is needed extra charge by industry standard. Its free for 1st domain, but any subsequent domain transfer must paid. Just take HG for example HostGator will transfer the primary domain name (.com, .net, .org, .info, .us, .biz, .name) associated with a new client's account upon signup at no charge. Please make sure you have completed the following process before submitting this domain transfer form. Your best bet is transfer domain to name dot com, then buy hosting separately so that you can get more security.
If you are looking to transfer to domain registrar, you will be required to pay 1 year pricing of the domain, but your domain will be extended another year. Alternative solution is to find hosts that provide free domain if you pay annually. Most of them provide that, so you may want to find out from them, instead of registering new domain, they will help you to transfer the domain to them and renew the domain free of charge. Like what mentos had mentioned, signing up for domain and hosting provides additional security in the sense that, your domain will not be held hostage by the hosting company if something bad happens.
eh, I think I'll be going for 1&1's beginner plan, seems to fit my bill hopefully I won't have any trouble sending over domains
Inmotion is a reliable hosting and have a basic plan at $3 per month. I wouldn't go for too cheap hosting as with those providers you get what you pay. Check hosting-avenue for reviews of hosting providers.
Take a look at www.hawkhost.com . Reliable affordable, basic plan starts at 3.99 $/m . Multiple domains allowed.
I Like arvixe ive used them before and they have superb support time prompt and will help you do pretty much anything free of charge
Hello! You haven't mentioned the space and bandwidth. They are 2 main features describing web hosting account. Please let us know
