Basic Apache set-up HELP please!

    Hi.

    I am wanting to set-up Apache 2.0.58 to use it with Snort IDS on Windows XP, and need some basic step-by-step advice on how to do it.

    I have had a go, but got lost along the way! :confused:

    Is there such an installation guide aimed at beginners available or can somebody help me through?

    Just to install Apache?

    Should have no troubles. Download the binary installer and just run that. Make sure you add in a Listen directive to httpd.conf to bind to a port.

    Where did you get stuck?
