    Hi all,

Suppose in a certain keyword, my Google search shows no ads. Does this mean I can buy the advertising space for a $0.01 bid right from the beginning, or would I have to bid a higher sum in order to achieve some kind of minimum quality score to "get into the game".

    Thanks

Minimum bids are determined by Quality Score. So it really depends.

If you have absolutely no history from a given keyword, then other relevancy factors (keyword & ad relevance, landing page etc) will be used to determine your initial QS.

I found some search phrases with no competition, and with
a QS of "great", I get minimum bids of £0.02/$0.04.

Problem is, Google isn't showing my ads.. but that's a whole
    different thread :)
