LOL, so we discussing the "Lever Show" again huh? We get by with a little help from our friends, and everyone has chipped into this one, Anthony. It's been good to have something keeping the grey matter ticking over :D Or should that be gray matter. Please excuse me, a humble Brit am I

I think my foray into barcode fonts is over. I'll save them for my collection of thousands upon thousands upon thousands...

Yeah, you have to admire the discipline of Shawn for waiting that long, I would never be able to do it, but I could never code a page or a software program either   :(

No doubt you could pull off a talk show, you will have the opportunity to engage in internet video as digital video and websites will be the next hot webmaster technology.

The hot websites will all be video sites down the road, sort of a online TV network/website.

    Definately :D

When the bandwidth becomes available to do some major "webcasting" there will be some great opportunities to promote some really good "WeeVee" ((TM, Lever 2005 ;)) - can you imagine that, Anthony? All day Led Zep shows?

"Rock ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt this webcast to bring you... Shaaaakiraaaa *yeah* "
Some good times ahead. Didn't Dave Lee Roth do a track called "Good Times" ? Stevie Vai on 12-string from what I remember?

Yeah the sad part is that we will all have to pay for rights to show that sort of content, it will not be the wild wild west any more.

You will not be able to post copyrighted material as freely as we do today without getting busted.

That will change the business as we know and practice today, when the holders of copyrights start enforcing them it will be hell on the average webmaster.

Google and the other engines are already feeling the heat.

So you will not be able to just put on some video or songs as you will without the rights being paid for.

I can see it... true Pirate Video... setting up at open connections to broadcast on someone else's bandwidth... where there's a will...

Isn't there a rumour of video iPod coming out sometime?

Sure the recording and movie industries knows this is going to happen, why do you think they are suing high school kids, next will be webmasters.

They are already trying to shut down the bit torrent guys.

The lawyers always win in the end and if you want to stay in business you have to play the same old game.

Produce your own content and you have to police it also.

    The song remains the same?

I hope not [webcasting]. My tv is over there and my computers are over here. I like it that way.

"Same as it ever was, same as it ever was..."
and "99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name"
I Understand that, I have an aversion to mobile phones - If I'm out, I'm out, you shouldn't be able to get hold of me.

But with the webcasting we will still have the option of visiting static or moving, right? We still have Ceefax on TV over here, for a little while anyway :)

Well you host websites and must be aware of this trend and be prepared for it because it is surely coming and soon.

Webcasting is already taking place even on dial up connections, but with wireless broadband we will see an explosion in this and it will be mainstream within 2 years.

Microsoft is already pushing their cable TV (ITV) software and their media center PC's.

Doesn't mean I has to like it..For me personally; I don't like anything that moves or makes sound on my screen.

Now now FlaWW, the eye in your avatar is moving ;) :p

Bottom line is websites will change as more folks have broadband and software to open digital video files.

You don't want to be a black and white webmaster when color TV is all the rage, right?

I don't see it move. I have animation turned off in my browser. I'm choosing to annoy everyone else right now.

I wouldn't say black and white - I do like color; but the kiss rule is what I go by. The old fogies among us will appreciate it.

Yes FlaWW, but the kids are the targets of all merchandisers as they are the one's who buy music, movies, garments on a large scale.

I have the same pair of jeans until they turn to dust and am still listening to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.

Now are you understanding? You have to sell into growing markets and to the hot markets and kids want video, not old style pages.

The wave of the future is convergence with television, I just seen Microsoft's new ad on Microsoft TV today, no need for a PC, just hook this up to your TV and get online with a subscription to MSTV.
