I totally agree with this article and hope Obama sticks to his word and hope HE WINS http://www.slate.com/id/2200134
Yeah, he's been hawkish on the Pakistan. I haven't heard his reaction to the recent tensions, though.
I'm glad that there is at least someone who recognizes the problem, instead of brushing it under the carpet like Indian politicians.
Obama is much, much smarter than the 72 years old McCain who has no real substance. I hope he wins too. The Bush admin never really cared about the issues how to eliminate the Al Qaede roots in Pakistan.
bush is alquaidas main recruiter with his blunder after blunder...i dont think a moderate candidate can win in polarized america...MCwar and the warrior princess will be the next world oppressors but im hoping they will accelerate the downfall and help amercia finally hit rock bottom and then maybe america can bounce back and aspire to something good... obama may be a newbie but he has waaaaaaaay more chance of negotiating some sort of peace with the muslims that mcwar who will , just like bush, pretend that he is "winning" but in fact he is the answer to alquaidas dreams: a deluded unsympathetic cowboy that fuels hate against the USA like rocket fuel...mcwar may score with the slack jaw red neck pro war crowd but for the rest of the world hes just another arrogant wanker...
Do you guys really know what Obama's stance on Pakistan has been? From the linked article above: I also believe that Obama was the first(at least of any of the candidates and including the Bush administration) to suggest going into Pakistan with or without the approval of Pakistan.
Now if Bush went in to Pakistan wouldn't everyone here be complaining? But if Obama does it, it is right? I don't understand this flip-flopping.... seems there is a word for it - hypocrisy.
It appears that Bush has. And you're right, for some reason some people see Obama as some sort of peace hippy because he opposed/opposes the war in Iraq, but he's not. That's why it doesn't make sense to me if Ron Paul supporters are indeed now supporting Obama. The two are nowhere near each other politically.
Obama has a "plan A" also, which is talking and negotiating. The problem with the republicans is that they think issuing ultimatums is a "plan A". the Paul supporters probably recognize the danger of NEOCONS surviving the change of presidency. They would see this as the very dangerous.
