This is IF it is a close race. Blacks are only 12% of population but represent over 30% of votes in democratic party. While I can imagine that some of the middle class and blue color works who are traditionally democrats, voting for McCain, I can not imagine any cross over from Republicans side to vote for Obama.
The only real hope that obama can have is if Republicans are so tired of their party and it's candidate that they decide to stay home on the election day.

Julian, it is really a question of who is more tired of both parties. There is equal amounts of dissention and disarray in both parties.

The percentage of participant in presidential election in USA is any way low compare to other countries but it will be funny if people are so tired of the whole thing that they decide to stay at home and the next president will be chosen by 10-20% of the population with voting right. :D

Sadly it seems the minority always decide the outcome. Sometimes I think it is probably better if less vote. Often times encouraging people to vote only gets the idiots off to the polls.

I disagree, many Republicans have already come out in support of Obama. George W. Bush only has 60% approval in his own party! With John McCain being a facsimile of Bush on all major issues - many Republicans will be taking a serious look at Obama!

Furthermore you are assuming that party ID's are close to equal. That is not the case. There are now many more Democrats than Republicans. There has been no greater generator of Democrats than the George W. Bush presidency.

RE: Talk of low voter turn-out. Unlikely. The Democrats have seen record breaking turnouts throughout the primary season. If they can continue anything close to that excitement level to the general election - this could be a huge landslide. I really think a lot of you folks aren't understanding that history is in the making. I do not believe this will be a close election. Barack Obama will be our next President and it will be a great day for America.

We have to agree to disagree and wait and see what happens. In my opinion, while dislike of Bush can cause many Republicans not vote for McCain, they will not vote for Obama. On the other hand, I think many Democrats will vote for McCain to stop Obama from becoming a president.

And I would have to agree completely with your statement.

Unless the mainstream breaks that Donald Young murder story, among other things.

Is that some kind of joke? What does Donald Young have to do with Obama? Just because he went to the same church as Obama? I mean... These ludicrous association attacks are becoming completely insane. If this stuff is the worst anyone has on Obama ("... but someone he kind of knows said this...") then he's in REALLY good shape.

Donald Young was murdered (probably because he was gay) and he went to the same church as Obama (this is a huge church thousands of members) ... OK... AND?! So what? What is your point?

John McCain has an association far more damaging than any Obama has: GEORGE W. BUSH.

You are so confused lately... It was a question... Should I be defining that too now?

That it is. You have to listen to the Larry UTube videos and news interviews to see just out batshit it is..

Jeremy, please. It was whisper, innuendo and smear, nothing different from anything else you've done regarding Obama, in my experience. A "question" doesn't conclude with:

You have attempted to build a conspiracy case against Obama for months, now. All of a sudden, you're just sincerely "curious"?

We got it - you appear to be deeply troubled by the guy. But I don't believe anyone is fooled by your thread entitled "DID OBAMA KILL DONALD YOUNG" (IN A HOMOSEXUAL RAGE OVER A TRIANGULAR LOVER'S QUARREL BETWEEN OBAMA AND LARRY SINCLAIR AND DONALD YOUNG)."
