Well, this is good or bad depending on how you look at it. He has now cemented the fact he won't become elected.

On one hand, this is one step closer to hillary.

On the other hand, it assures us a man with ties to islam is not elected as president of our country.

Because his religion should be relevant to his ability to run the country, rather than his stances on the issues, his experience, his voting record, his plans if elected, or any other number of things. There are a lot of reasons to not elect Obama, but his religious ties should be far from the top of the list.

We did a bang up job electing the former cocaine sniffing, alcoholic, born again Christian and Jesus fanatic GWB!

A vote for Obama, is a vote against Clinton Dynasty!

Not when the ties are to islam, it automatically goes to the top of the list.

Sounds like racism and ignorance to me. Tis truly a shame because I thought you were establishing a more worldly view of things.

I don't consider muslims to be a race, maybe you do.
I also don't consider my views on isalm to be ignorant, you do.
I think it's a shame you don't see the sickness of islam. It's also a shame you don't have an issue with a so-called presidential canidate so politically fucking correct, he can't wear a pin of the country he's trying to be elected to run. But hey, that's you and this is me, so w/e.

    Islam isn't a race it's a religion, a political religion at that.

I think you are a racist. You might not be, but everything I have read from you reeks of white supremacy.

Exactly. And I dare say, I probably have more experience with Muslims and more knowledge of Islam than you do.

What I think is a shame, is that people still use religion to raise themselves and lower others in the 21st century. That this country is more concerned with gay marriage than the Katrina refugees. The reason why there is a separation of church and state is to prevent the loss of liberty by any American.

So he's a bad candidate because he won't wear a pin. He's already sworn an oath of allegiance to the Constitution, but your hard on is that he won't wear a f**king pin. This, is exactly why Hillary is going to win the election. Because too many people are concerned with the superficial, with overt displays of excessive patriotism than the fact that this man is principled, and his decision not to wear the pin, is one of his own personal principles, something I wish more of the candidates had.

You've got GWB who has no problem circumventing the Constitution, and you're pissed off that a black muslim won't wear a pin of the flag. Who is the bigger threat? Who is the bigger traitor?

The most reasonable thing you have written this evening.

I would expect a president to salute and kiss the flag. Any thing less is communist.

My issue is with his religion/and or ties to that religion, not his race. Frankly I like him the best out of any of the dems believe it or not.
There are some things I don't like about him too.

For one thing, as already brought up, his ties to islam.
For another, maybe it's a small thing for you, but yo me, refusing to wear a pin with our nations flag on it is very disturbing. The first and second thing go hand in hand IMO. Muslims have made it clear that their religion comes before their country and even their family. For all you know or I know, the man could be a closet Muslim.

Did you ever hear his wife's speech? I forget who she was talking to, but it was a big cry fest about women who have babies with no father. And how it was the governments responsibility to care for these children and mothers. It was one big fucking socialist cryfest, it made me sick. This was like 4 months ago or so, after that I totally quit paying attention to anything he had to say. And yes, I realize this is his WIFE and not him, but we all know women run shit. I'm sure half of the BS that comes from Bush is the doing of his wife as well.

Fact is, I don't care about his race, or even his lack of experience. The biggest thing for me is his possible ties to islam. I have nothing to hide, everyone here knows I don't care for religion and despise islam. Would you have elected a German during WWII? No. So why would you elect a possible Muslim today?

Uh, considering that by the Constitution, we can't elect a German, it's a bit of a different situation.

/Aside: I'd vote for a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew, an Atheist; religion doesn't matter to me as long as I believe it will not control their decisions in office, and as long as I felt they were the best for the job.

Interesting that guerilla who seems more like a left wing liberal, but registered as a republican to vote for liberal libertarian who is hiding in the republican party because he couldn't get elected otherwise, is using the race card and eagerly defending a democrat for not wearing a flag.

Seems like people just don't know who they are anymore. Not surprising he would chime in on this specific issue though. Right up his alley.

Well, I would rather have a Barak Obama president than let's say a Joe Libermann.
At least Barak Obama will NOT betray his country and place another country first.
Having a zionist president like Libermann would catastrophic for the US. This guy is an israeli agent, doing Israel bidding, and wanting to start wars to benefit Israel. That guy does not give a shit about America. He may wear an american flag pin, but don't be fooled by it. His allegiance is to Israel.

Ablaye, that kind of shit is on par with "heh, he's a Muslim...check him for bombs!" that everyone spews on here. Being Jewish isn't inherently bad and doesn't necessarily mean he's a Zionist; that aside, Lieberman is exactly the person you described. Perhaps I misread your post and you were specifically saying only Jews like Lieberman, in which case I apologize for the misunderstanding.
