Banners vs textad in content network

    Hey Guys,

I have a little question for you. Lately I have been trying to
get clicks with banners on the content network. I've uploaded
all formats and a few days later all were getting a good
amount of views and clicks. Besides the banners I also
have 1 textad with a good CTR in that adgroup. What I
see now is that the total amount of views is getting spread
over my textad and my banners. So say my textad is getting
60% of the views, then the banners will get the other 40%.

My question is now if the textad and banners are competing
against each other for the total amount of views or that
my textad wouldn't have gotten that 40% views that the banners
    have in the first place?

If they DO compete against each other, I was wondering if it
would help to put those banners in a seperate adgroup with
exactly the same keywords. But then the question arises if
the 2 adgroups go competing against each other.

    Who can help me out?

Turn ad optimization off in the campaign settings or else set up a new ad group. With image ads, you should be using a new adgroup anyway. (IMO)
