Hello - I just found this forum on Google, and decided to see if anyone has had a similar problem to mine. On June 19, I transferred the code for a banner to my webpage, but it didn't work. Instead of the banner, I got the "little red X", AND clicking on the link gave rise to a "cannot find server" error. I put in an "Ask A Question" to CJ, but eventually discovered that the tech person was unwilling to try to find an answer to my problem. He claimed that he tried the same code on a test page, and it worked fine for him. So I gave up. After all, what good is it to put up a banner, and not be able to see it or use it myself? How do I know how many other people can't see or use it? After reading a thread on this forum about people not being able to log in ( and having experienced the same problem myself ), I figured perhaps CJ is having a serious problem with their scripts. I know I am. I finally managed to log in, but I still can't see the banner I have posted on a test page: http://www.your-homeremedies.com/test.html Can anyone verify that the banner is also invisible to them, or am I the only one? --- Professor
Nope, that banner is showing up fine for me. Try visiting the page again. If there is still no image for you, try pressing Ctrl + F5 JAM
Works fine. Do you have any sort of "internet security" program installed on your computer that blocks advertising images & cookies? I'm guessing that's your problem.
Thank you tvmatt. You jogged my memory. I forgot about my hosts file. Sure enough, it contained entries for both the banner and URL websites. After updating with the latest entries provided by Spybot, the banner now works fine. The cj sites had been previously banned due to the use of tracking cookies. --- Professor
