Banners inside PDF files: What do you think?

    Hello everyone :)

I've been watching the forums for quite a while, until I decided to make an account and to join DP. I have a (great?) idea about a new software and I wanted to hear opinions from the best in the branch.

Long story short: I want to make a software to allow someone to embed banners inside PDF files. I made a demo program in C#, see here for a screenshot: http://i26.tinypic.com/10ddtg2.png

And here is a PDF file with a Vista banner in it:

So, what do you think about this idea? Should I go for it, make the full software, create a website for it and start selling? Will someone be interested in it? Or is just.. dust in the wind?

Thank you for reading my aberrations :)

Well, it's a creative idea. I don't know how many people will want to put banner ads in PDF's, but I'm sure I'd be surprised.
By itself, I'm not sure it has enough functionality to sell well...although it would be a nice feature in a full-functioned e-book creator.
Otherwise, it would be most successful as a free tool-especially if it can manage the banner insertion online.
Also, can you developers please consider Mac users when creating apps? We do exist, too.

    Thanks for the insights :)

I am following the KISS principle (or "less is more"): my app does only one thing,
and does it well. Why should I add more features?

PS: for mac you can use the mono project to run .net apps

hehe I am a Microsoft guy, and hence I use .net so theres no way I'd ever make my applications run on Mac :p.

Note: This guy also used .net so for any of you wondering if this could be ported to mac, it'll be hard./
