Banner vs Textlink and PR8 vs PR9

Hi,

I found a portal that fits my website topic and they have only banners for sale (with title, alt and full url). One on PR9 homepage for 1000 usd a month and another on a PR8 page for 500 usd month.

My own website is PR6 and never advertised before to get PR. All clean linkbuidling and good content.

Question 1: Do banners give me the same chance on 'PR-juice' as textlinks do (missing the text itself but giving me title and alt)

Question 2: Will the PR8 give me a PR7 on my site or do I need the PR9 to boost it?

Looking forward to some feedback.

 

if the banner is a direct hyper link, does not use "nofollow attribute", to your url, meaning no type of script or redirect, then it will pass PR.

in theory it takes 3 PR8's to give you a PR7, and 1 PR9 for a PR7, however since you're already a PR6 then 1 PR8 might be enough to bump you up to PR7.

 

Interesting thanx. What do you think of the PR9 will it get me PR7 or PR8?

 

OK I got myself a PR9 textlink in my topic to my PR6 website (with DMOZ, 40k backlinks and 4 years online) lets see what it does to my PR?

I hope for a PR8... but we will see... I am taking bets

Nope link was placed to an article on our website. Since we run a real website with good writers we just got lucky.
