    I've got this image saved on my computer which I find really helpful: http:// altlab.com /images/bannerchart.gif (without the spaces obviously, I just can't post full links yet)

    Shows you all the 'standard' banner sizes available. Depending on the lay out of your site, the leaderboard, skyscraper and 250x250 square have always done well for me.

    Dont use 480 standard banner, it is worst. The best will be skcrapper and followed by Leaderboard or the banner

    It's going to depend on the set up of the website you're promoting your banner ad with. You typically want center of the site or on the side bar. Bottom and at the very top get so-so results.

    480 x 60 would be a nice a small banner..!

    It would look awsome and sleek

    You can also try for 728 x 150

    That also would do good for you..! :)

    It is depends on how your website layout designed. Here is my own preference on banner size.

    Vertical - 120 x 600 / 120 x 240

    Horizontal - 468 x 60 / 728 x 90

    A tips about banner advertising. Use text banner instead of image banner.

    So instead of displaying static or flashing image, create a banner in picture format (.jpg, .gif, etc). But instead of putting images, put text with matching background color of the site...it will increase the CTR.
