Hi i need to add 2 banners (468x60) spots in one phpbb forum There i will rotate 8 gif banners in each spot randomly. Can someone recommend me some script? Best of all will be something that could do some "ajax" transitions or maybe flash. thank you
Do you want them random? I have a script you use exactly like an image: <img src="images/ads/imageLoader.php" width="" height="" /> HTML: That randomly loads an image from the "images/ads" directory. Since it's a forum people really are not going to be idling on one page for too long- meaning the image doesn't have to update like that, just needs to load a different one on every refresh. Though I guess that's impracticable for ads (I use it at http://bubblecoder.com/WPS/testWeb/ so a new header image loads on every refresh, or different page). Wait, actually you are going to want a Flash script. Why? Because each ad goes to a different location, yea? So what the flash script would do is load up a random image in the background, and have an invisible button over it that goes to that location. That means you will need a config file with image name and url to go to. The flash would load the config, then the image. With flash you could also have it change the image and location based on a timer. If you need this coded I can do it, though I've got plans to go out in a couple minutes here and you might not get it until tomorrow. Google might be able to find something like this as well- I'm sure it's been done before.
