I recently started using rotating banners on the top of my website - www.TruckTechniques.com Some websites are interested in exchanging links with my site but do not offer banner links on their site. It is a good idea to offer text links on my retail website as well? Sometimes these can look cheap and non-professional, but it my be how it is formatted. What are your opinions on banner links vs text links on a retail website like mine? Thanks in advance. Joe
Hi, I prefer text links. They can be formatted to look however you need them too. Sometimes a banner can just turn off your users.
text links look a lot more proffessional. some sites use banners and they are too distracting and off putting for visitors to your site.
Interesting, thanks for the feedback. If I were to add a links page, Im thinking to use the last yellow button on the right side and redirect to a new page. What are your thoughts on that?
Hmm, I prefer text links to banner ads in almost all situations. What really comes into effect is who your target audience is. For example, younger surfers are more responsive to flashy banners, but experienced surfers are more likely to prefer a clean text link. It's all in what fits the page the link is found on. However, a link is a link is a link.
