    What do I do to make my banner gap between the website be smaller or rather gone? I want the big white gap to be gone.
    How also would I center the banner?

    There are two headline class on your site. The one contains the banner and the other one looks empty but it contains h1 of site title with url. Remove the empty one and combine the headline url with the banner

    I am lost, this is what I have in my header.php:

    <body> <div id="body-container"> <div id="header"> <div class="headline"> <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>" title="Home"><img src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/images/top.gif" alt="Yeast Money - Watch your income Rise" /></a></h1> </div>

    <div class="headline">
    <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>" title="<?php _e('Home'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
    </div>

    Is that the right area?
    Or go to the stylesheet?

    You can remove the second div class "headline" so the code become

    <body> <div id="body-container"> <div id="header"> <div class="headline"> <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>" title="Home"><img src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/images/top.gif" alt="Yeast Money - Watch your income Rise" /></a></h1> </div>
