I'm not finding much information on this subject anymore, and I'm starting to look into banner exchange programs, so I have a couple quesions maybe you can help me out with? 1. Are they aginst google adsense policies? I don't think they are but I just like to be sure. 2. Does it help you grow PR? This may be a good way to get some extra traffic towards my site, it won't be much, but every little bit helps, plus its targetted traffic.
I think banner exchanges have gone down the tubes in the past few years. There's been a few other threads on here about them, but that's all I ever hear. Personally I don't think banner exchanges are that great of an idea. I think it can sometimes get you a lot of useless traffic. And I don't think they help with PR, because they're images, you still get the backlinks, but the search engine won't show it in it's results. And they don't stay there forever, so by the time of the next PR update, it might be gone... Just my 2 cents.
Think about it this way. Someone is always losing out. You send 100 people someone sends 20, you lose. They send 100 people you send 20 they lose.
