Banner ads or text ads, which pays more?

Hi there,

Excuse me for my ignorance. I have applied for adsense a few days before and placed ads day before yesterday on the website. While checking for ad placement there was two options banners and text ads. But I don't know which one pays more.

My doubt is because banner ads take the same space like 4 text ads can be placed. The same space text ads offer four links and banner ads are giving just one link. So please do share which one pays more or both are the same? One another doubt is it against to adsense tos to edit the ads. Though I didn't edit much just placed a few lines.

Please have a look at the ads and tell this is the edited ad in the right side- 300X250 text only ads

for what i read in other thread, text ads is more higher that ads image,...I don;t know how about you guys

 

You mean even the single click on any of the four links will pay higher than the only banner link click?

 

i dont know which one pays more, but i have listen text ads pay more, but here is my own experience
if you have made a website newly you have low visitors, then it is batter to place image ads, because image ads attract more people then link ads, it is my experience
i have 500+ visitors and using two image ads and one link ad
my reach 20$ some time 25$ and even 45$

 

Yeah, you have the point. For new sites banner ads work much. Same as your site I too had placed two banners and one text link ads at the blog. But still no one knows which one pays more? ?

I think the Text ads, I'm not sure though.

 

it actually depends on the niche.
banner ads are actually ppm based in most niches..
so its better to keep text ads..

 

Best advice is try out yourself.
For one week use banner ads and the next week run only text ads.
Now go with those ads which pays more.

if u blend ur ads color with ur site background and its font color with out breakin Adsense TOS then Text ads will give better results. First u spend some time experimenting the ads placement. Try 2 or 3 variation in ad placement then compare the click results and the one which generates more clicks stick to that ad placement.

 

Yeah..you can see it in the above blog. I tried 2-3 variations and tried the color change too.

 

I think both banner ads and text ads pay the same.

 

I think it depend on ads ctr not text or banner.

It depend on your type of traffic !
usually CPC (text ads) pays more, but it is hard to get clicks...

CPM (banner ads) will pay you more if you do not have clicks but have a lot of hits to your page.

I am using more banner ads because there is hardly any click on my ads, plus every hit counts in CPM.

Choice is difficult..

Analyze your traffic and then decide....

does banner ads count the CTR?
I imagine that (if) no one clicked my banner, the CTR should be decrease.
or not?
