Hi, i've been running Adsense ads for sometime on my sites (and i'm happy/ok with it), never did or try Affiliate banners. I know I should be doing my homework, split testing, etc. to see comparative results, but My inquiry is: How does a single Adsense bar compare to an Affiliate bar? performance-wise (CTR and $), located on the top of the page. The affiliate bar will be a CPA lead. and also assume both the adsense and affiliate bars are highly targeted to the content of the site. Share w/ me your thoughts, thx
I have never had success with adsense, but I have used it before to make a few dollars (a few). I have made good money with CPA so far. I think the more specifically targeted the CPA ad is the better. If you can't find something targeted extremely well then you are probably better off staying with adsense.
Affiliate of course pay better, but you need to know the conversion rate. Let say you get 10 click from adsense give you $2, you need to try on the affiliate conversion rate, if 0% conversion rate, you get nothing from affiliate, if 10% and the CPA is paying you $3, then you get more then adsense. Frankly speaking, you need to try on it
The best is you should test it yourself for 1 week. Take note of the stats like click, conversions and you will have the answer of which to choose to monetize your site.
