all the stuff saying people get banned from google is true. never click on your own ads, or even promote it in a university/office environment like me. i got banned as i received quite a lot of clicks from networked computers with similar ips. the site involved is in my sig
That sucks. Google never sent my payment out this month so im mad lol... I was planning on using it to buy a new server + some other stuff.
Hey i was once banned, mention what you put in the above to them and they may unban you! http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=791761 Check out some of the threads i made about being banned
the worst bit was that they cut my account on the morning of my payment. $200 all gone, so i'm using adengage now, but $0.03pc is just taking the mick
around 9 months, i woudl pressume the bulk of clicks were from networked computers, as i promoted mainly at uni
Oops! Sad to hear But many of us already knew about not trying to fool google with clicks from same ips or intranetwork. Umm.. all the best .. u learnt a lesson..
Did you read the OP's post? He is not clicking on the Adsense adverts. It is clicked by those that are using similar IPs. This would be common in a huge internet environment of a university etc.
You should have told google that you mistaken clicked on your ads. Sometimes by mistake I click on my ads and right away I mail them in wich site, time i've clicked, and they always respond me something like "thank you for reporting us, bla bla bla bla", google appreciate this. Even when I have anormal clicks, this way you garantee your honesty on google and you should never get banned. What you should do, is try to clean you image, and tell them that you were just starting and dind't knew the TOS, but know you've learned your lesson etc... Because, no matter what people say here, google is the number one on PPC, unless you like to make cents instead of dollars . Good luck.
I do not think that it is correct, if he had not done it, why should be claimed he did it just to placate Google?
"never click on your own ads, or even promote it in a university/office environment like me." Because he learned his lesson, I think almost everybody with no previous experiencie with adsense do that, but this things come right back at you in the end.
sorry about the confusion. i did click on my own ads at the very beginning and google gave me a warngin, so i stopped do it. then i wanted clicks the real way, so i promoted the website on university noticeboards and sites, and got good response. that's when i got banned. i appealed explaining everything with logs and stats but they didn;t care
Always have two ad network, do not just depend on Adsense alone. Frankly depending on one alone is always dangerous

"never click on your own ads, or even promote it in a university/office environment like me." what gonna happen if there are two real visitors in the same office clicking the ads? banned the site's owner by this accident?
