Banned users questions

How can I find out why someone was banned? There's plenty of reasons why someone might be banned and it would be nice to know. Not all the details are required just some explanation.

There's a huge difference for being banned for ripping someone off and maybe bumping a thread. As someone who buys and sells on DP it would be nice to know.

    Thanks

You could probably find out a lot from reading their previous posts...maybe they got mouthy with someone...or who knows...look at their itrader feedbacks..you can do a lot of research on DP on your own if you take the time to do it.

Don't worry much about banned people. Ban is an accident. It can't be predicted. :D Infraction system ensures banning. We get infractions for undesired activities in the forums. Everyone learn with experience "how to not get banned". Avoid getting infractions.

The major reasons for banning are:

    (1) Having duplicate accounts and trying to take undesired advantages.
    (2) Cheating Forum members.
    (3) Spamming.
    (4) Bumping own or someone's threads without genuine reasons...and so on.

For few unwanted activities we get infractions. When number of infractions cross its specified limits we need to accept a Ban for certain period. For major violations there is a sudden ban.

There is no need to worry about the word "Ban" if we know forum rules and regulation and good with everything and everyone. :)

There is only one way - by asking the banned member them self. Bear in mind if they've been banned for some sort of dishonesty they might fib to you!

People get banned for not complying with the FAQs/Rules.

Just read the rules and regualtions of Dp and if you do anything against it you get infractions and if your infractions total becomes 10 then your banned

Thanks for your input but you have just stated my concern. If someone is doing number four on your list (bumping) well as a seller on DP I am not to worried.

BUT if they did number two on your list I would want to know about it immediately.

Those are two VERY different reasons for getting banned and Ièd like to know.

I would not expect all the details but just sort of notice.

Check their iTrader profile (should still be available) - if they've been scamming someone is bound to have written a negative comment. The chances are it's nothing more than they fallen foul of the 10 infractions rule.

It's never happened to me (I haven't even got an infraction) - I think it's a month, but I'm just speculating. Some types of offense attract a larger ban than others.

THe best way is to check DP forums where they are complaining about any infraction, if there isnt, then there is no possible way to deal with it.
