In light of recent banning threads, and my own fear (based on ignorance!) of the CD revenue sharing system, I have taken my AdSense account out of my DP options.

Just curious, if you were banned, were you a part of DP's AdSense system?

If so, do you think it was related?

I don't think so either in fact there is a new AdSense API that allows you to build communities based on this structure. So Google is FOR profit sharing.

Well I know it's sort of off topic, but with YPN you must be the website owner to publish ads. I would figure that Adsense would be the same with that kind of policy.

I heard there is no clause in so called google terms and there are lots of website not using this kind of revenue sharing for members. If it was against google TOS then these websites wouldn't waste time. I think it must have been coz of some other reason...

That's exactly what I did. I was making anywhere from $0.00/day on up, so it's a small price to pay for peace of mind I think.

But the results are inconclusive so far, hopefully because not many real, on-the-level webmasters get banned.

    2 votes, both "no" :)

I will just point out though that the information you get from this poll will be useless as there is no control group. Basically you are asking on a forum where the majority of people have the rev share enabled so you will recieve some Yes votes by pure coincidence.

I think the fact that 1000's of AdSense publishers participate in the rev share program yet a minute percentage have seen a ban (and in that small percentage Mad4 was the only one that didn't have any AdSense on a site)

Also, the fact that Mad4 was banned isn't conclusive in itself as it is certainly possible his account was deactivated purely because he wasn't using it on any sites
