Banned Site? Works with Adsense and Adwords

I am a looking at a site that is both serving adsense ads, and is paying for (and receiving) advertising through adwords, but otherwise is not indexed, and has not been for some time, though many links point to the site. I have checked over the site a few times, and even contacted Google about it (but did not receive a response after 1 month), and still nothing.

Could the site be banned yet still work with adwords and adsense?

Search for whateverdomain.com (of course replace with the actual domain name) in google and if it's not banned the following text will be displayed:

And yes a site banned from google's SE index can still work with adsense and adwords.

If you purchase such a site, read Matt Cutts' blog about requesting re-inclusion. There are several other relevant articles in his blog, too.

EDIT: This post is offensive? hmmm... interesting, anonymous. :)

    Yes, I get
Sorry, no information is available for the URL
and I have already followed the guidelines for the reinclusion request about 1 month ago, and still nothing.

What kind of sites have links to the banned domain? Not so long ago, I found a nice domain that had expired. It was banned from google, though, and all the links to the site seemed to be from spam posts (porn-related) on forums, classifieds, etc, so I avoided it despite the fact it was a nice domain (and the name itself was completely unrelated to porn).

By "still nothing" do you mean not even a reply from google? It's always possible they refuse to re-index it due to a current issue with the site. Did you have an external company do any promotion of the site for you?

It might be a good idea to ask for a review of your site in the Website Reviews forum. It's always possible there's something you haven't yet spotted and another set of eyes will.

    Good luck, mate. :)

Yes. A banning from the organic results does not automatically equal a banning from AdWords and or AdSense.
