Banned site in the coop?

Discussion in 'Co-op Advertising Network' started by fryman, Feb 6, 2005.

I noticed there are several people that are in charge of aproving the keywords we use on the coop. Is that all they do? I am really mad right now because I have been having serious problems with my site. My cache hasn't updated in 2 weeks. I just checked all the coop ads that showed on my site in the cache, and there is a link that says " Search Online ", whick takes you to http://www.search-online.org/

The domain shows no results at google and seems to be banned. What the heck??? Doesn't anyone review the sites? Can anyone just put in some crappy site and no one even takes 5 seconds to do a quick check???

I just checked Google and it doesn't appear to be banned. There are over 40,000 returned results.

    Google api shows 17,000 results.

As a reviewer; I can tell you I do the best I can. And; has been discussed elsewhere in this forum; it seems I can be too tough:). We can't catch all "bad" sites; the best thing to do is post it as you did and let the discussion ensue.

Actually, it's the role of the reviewer to check the anchor text used, and check that the site is not adult, etc related, NOT to check it's pages indexed in Google - Obviously, if when looking at the site, it does not have a PR - but a gray bar, then we could flag this up.

That's some glitch with Google, I have a page with that same date as well.

Guess Google dropped too many hits of acid at woodstock that year....

The 1969 related to supplimental result. Usually these are pages, which will be dropped from the G index for various reasons, one being duplicate content.

If you check the cache on the homepage is says:
cache:http://www.... - did not match any documents
which is generally a bad sign! (especially if the site is showing page rank, so you know at some point the site must have been indexed).
