Banned, Sandboxed or something else?

    Hi guys,

I was just making my daily SEPRS check, searched for Web Marketing on Google.pt where my companies position tends to vary from #3 to #5 and...KAZAAAM! The little bunny has vanished!
Refreshed the search tried various data centers and nothing. At this point I was starting to slowly wake up the the possibility of our site might having been sandboxed, or even banned.

Searched for other keywords that our site was ranking for and all of the internal pages are in the same Position, meaning that this change affected only our main index.

Coincidentally, if I search for our company's name, we are on #1 but with the HTTPS.

Have we technically been sand boxed? The WebMaster tools re-inclusion requests specifically talk about domain re inclusion, which I reckon isn't really the case since our internal pages remain indexed.

Have any of you had any experience with this?

I'm sure you haven't been sandboxed or banned..how old is your domain name...It could just the usual fluctuations.....

another question..did you do any major changes to that page recently?

Strange, but I am experiencing the exactly same thing. Our number 1 keyphrase which is normally number 4 disappeared today. All datacenter checks show that it is still there, but on the actual results it is gone.

This happened a few weeks back during the PR update but it then returned. I just hope this in/out of serps is not going to happen on a regular basis.

Mmm I think its about 4.5 years old. (it's the one in my signature) www.easylogics .com

We have never done anything fishy with it, has always been used for the same purpose.

And can't recall of any major change recently.

But in your case, did the root page completely vanish from the Serps?

I won't be too perturbed if it's just a day or two.
I was at 45 (a high-point for me) for the query 'I love New York' until three days ago. Now I am at 100+

At this point it's like "who cares', I'm happy with wherever they list me

I understand that. Although our company does not depend from our SERPS, it plays a crucial role in our business. Hardly something that can be ignored.

Yes. From being number 2-4 to not being anywhere in the first 20 pages. Yet, the lesser keywords are still number 1 and 2.

It does return, but lately it’s been happening much more frequently and sometimes for a few days at a time.

may i ask what the keywords are and the site address? pm me if you like.

    Sure.

    Web Marketing (google.pt)
    Site: easylogics. com

One thing though, when I mean vanished, I'm not referring to rank change. I mean that the root easylogics.com/ (without the https) has been removed from the index.

Additional info, just used this tool: http://www.seocritique.com/datacentertool/datacenterresults.html to check for different results on different data centers and on some of them the page is still present.

same here. the site shows up on datacentre checker but not on actual search. funnily enough, when i remote control to another pc in another part of the country, the site shows up in serps.

Seems that everything is back to normal now.

One good piece of advice for anyone who might be going through the same ordeal: Resubmit your Sitemap

Mine is also back to normal. In fact it is one position up from normal. I have made no changes at all. I think some people call this the Google Dance.

We are gone again, but this time, all the datacenters show consistent results, with our root page not being there at all.

Probably just an update, sit it out for a week or two. if you don't see your page return then start to worry.
