Theres many reasons people are banned... It means you can't logon to the forum. I assume you can still see what is posted (apart from the underground) Sometimes means your gone forever, sometimes only for a while.
Not all that forever, it depends. Some people got banned only few months and then they can come back to use their account again.
Because if you have a saved password, then it will just say you are banned for this reason and you just press log out and then you can view the forum again.
People get banned for breaking the rules, plain and simple. Some get banned more than others. Some others (scumbags) don't get banned nearly enough. No further comment!
I would imagine some of the most popular reasons for bans are: 1. Duplicate accounts 2. Attacking other members 3. Too many infractions 4. Spam I really only know of one regular contributor that got a permanent ban.. As initials that are the 1st the 3rd letter of the English alphabet. Not every ban is permanent btw... Most or temporary.
As stated, you get banned for breaking the rules. You get 10 warnings or infractions for most things before you are banned. Some things you are banned quicker like PM spamming and overall forum spamming. Everyone gets at least a few but if you try to follow the rules the best you can, you should be fine.
well i didnt read rules, im thinking rules are same for most of the forums, im member of many forums. Anyway i think im doing good, i didnt get banned yet, hehe
