    Hi,

One of my sites, http://www.vintagebicycle.org has recently disappeared from google... the strange part, is that in webmaster tools it says 149 pages in my sitemap are index. It used to list about 300 backlinks in webmaster tools, now it says 0.

the site doesn't even show up with a site: command.

Doing great with MSN, somehow I am already in position #1 of 1,270,000 for my target keywords... http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=vintage+bicycles&FORM=MSNH

Is this a manual ban from google?

Looks to me like a ban it was indexed before. Google does that sometimes with affiliate sites. Every once in a while they go on a witch hunt to clean up their search. You may be one of the sites.

Looks like it's banned to me because when I type the full domain url to search, I can't find it in Google. Try to get some contents in rather than a page with all affiliate links.

You should try to figure out why you were banned, correct the problem then submit
a request for google to reconsider your site in google webmaster tools.

    thanks for the help guys..

i am starting to think i may have been banned for submitting my site to a ton of directories using the same anchor text, which is probably why i shot straight to #1 in msn.

going to submit for reconsideration, hopefully it will work.

if that doesn't work, will google ever re-index me? their bot is still crawling my site daily.
